First meeting: November 15 2013

Professor Rey Mendoza Jr. welcomed us to his subject which is Principles of Design and Color Theory. He told us that he is a web designer, a photographer, a speaker and a part time teacher at DLSU Manila and Lycuem Laguna. His achievements, particularly his involvement with different companies. He also share his projects. Well, this made up my mind many expectations to this subject. So without further ado, here it goes.

First things first, what I have learned today? There are many questions that popped up into my mind on how to deal with this subject, how will I survive and what risks to get high grades :) but as Sir. Mendoza discussed, I knew this class will be very exciting and I'll assure to myself that there are a lot of things I could learn. I have learned a brief history about cave paintings. What does a real web designer is, that it needs time, effort and skills to finished one particular project. I learned the concept of Creative brief. I also learned the 3W's that we should know before working on a project, it includes; what is your goal, who is your audiences and what are the budget and timeline. I have also learned that one must know the objective because it's the starting point on how you proceed to your project.

As I have said earlier there are many expectations that, of course, I expect to his subject. That I will learn on how to work on a project given to us with a deadline. That I might encounter difficulties. I expect multiple projects and work on a project that I can call mine. But aside from all of these I expect that every student enrolled in this class will learn a lot from our professor, that his great knowledge about this field will help us to enhance our skills for better outcome.

To sum it up, I look forward for new skills and knowledge that Sir. Mendoza will teach us. Stated, Principles of Design and  Color Theory will be very challenging and exciting. Simple as that :)
